Originally planned to be the morning we rode bikes along the Elbe River, due to the intense heat and humidity Zelda and I opted out. The “kids” went ahead riding bikes early to Juli’s apartment to meet her cat and then along a portion of the Elbe River before returning back to the hotel.
Meanwhile, after a short walk around the Frauenkirche and along Brühlsche Terrace, I headed to Zelda’s apartment in our hotel to make a protein shake for breakfast and have some catch-up time together.
This afternoon Tejomaya and I head on foot to Neustadt, which I read was Dresden’s hippest area of students, young professionals and artists — a veritable multicultural melting pot that is modern, lively and offbeat. A mecca for trendy fashion boutiques and small art galleries.
With the sun starting to sink, we walked back to our hotel . . . with a few packages and photographs to show for our expedition. That evening, we all decided upon Thai take-out and stay in to make the necessary train and hotel reservations for our journey to Berlin in the morning!
