A really early flight from Santa Barbara to Miami this morning. So early, in fact, that I slept not a wink. Up at 2:30am, so I could leave for the Santa Barbara Airport by 3:30 for my 5:45am United flight to Denver — leg one. Transfered to an American Airlines flight and rrived in Miami at 4:48pm.
Scoped out the airport and where we will be meeting our Insight Cuba group for tomorrow morning's flight as well as the conveniently situated Miami International Airport Hotel, which is in the heart of the terminal, and where I will meet faux cousin Liv for this adventure! Starving . . . and not certain about the food we will be eating in Cuba, I devoured a hearty dinner of steak, baked potatoe, veggies, a salad, and a full-bodied Cabernet sauvignon.
Early to bed . . .
